Reliable Piping Solutions for the Shipbuilding Industry

Marine flanges, socket weld and threaded fittings, stud bolts and anchor bolts engineered and certified for commercial vessels, naval ships, offshore platforms and marine engineering works.

Built for the Full Range of Marine Construction

Mishkat supplies precision-engineered piping components for shipbuilding and marine engineering — from commercial vessel construction to naval fabrication and offshore platform outfitting. Every component is manufactured, tested and documented to the material and traceability standards marine and class society projects demand.

Mishkat Pipe Fittings Co. is a registered approved supplier to Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd (GRSE) and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, reflecting the consistent material traceability, dimensional accuracy and documentation quality that naval and commercial shipbuilding demands.

Challenges & Solutions

Challenge

Seawater Corrosion

Continuous seawater exposure attacks standard carbon steel and degrades joint integrity over time.

Solution

SS 316/316L and Copper Nickel grades selected for seawater and ballast piping service.

Challenge

Vibration Resistance

Engine room and machinery-space piping is subject to sustained vibration that can loosen joints.

Solution

Matched bolting sets and dimensionally verified flange faces reduce joint fatigue and leakage risk.

Challenge

Durability

Marine components must perform reliably for the full service life of the vessel with minimal maintenance.

Solution

Materials and coatings specified for long-term marine exposure, backed by full material traceability.

Challenge

Compact Installations

Shipboard spaces are tightly packed, leaving little room for oversized or non-standard components.

Solution

Components manufactured to exact drawing dimensions for tight machinery-space installations.

Challenge

Long Service Life

Vessels remain in service for decades, so early-life component failure carries a high downstream cost.

Solution

Class-society-aligned documentation and inspection support components built for multi-decade service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you an approved vendor to Major Shipbuilding?
Yes — Mishkat Pipe Fittings Co. is a registered approved supplier to Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd (GRSE) and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, covering the supply of flanges and fasteners for naval and commercial ship construction.
Can you supply class society-approved materials?
Yes. Mishkat supports class society documentation requirements for IRS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, DNV and other societies. Type 3.2 witness inspection MTCs and class-endorsed test reports are arranged on request.
What materials are supplied for seawater piping?
For seawater piping systems, ASTM A182 F316 and F316L stainless steel flanges and fittings are standard. Copper Nickel (CuNi 90/10) is also used in marine seawater systems; CuNi 70/30 is available to order but not currently a confirmed stock grade.
Do you supply stud bolts for marine flange joints?
Yes — ASTM A193 B8M (SS 316) stud bolts with A194 Grade 8M nuts for seawater and marine piping; B7/2H sets for steam and high-temperature marine systems.
Can you deliver to a shipyard schedule?
Yes — we understand that shipbuilding has critical delivery milestones. Typical lead time for shipbuilding orders is 3–5 days. Contact us to discuss your project delivery programme.
